According to Sagapixel, there are currently over 32,200 assisted living communities in the US, with nearly 1.2 million licensed beds. It's clear that the demand for senior housing is high, and it'll remain so, especially since the demographic is projected to only become larger.
You may be part of this aging population, and you're weighing your options for housing in the future. One of them is The Palms at Bonaventure in Ventura, CA, which is already in a fantastic location.
What about our apartment design, though? After all, this is the space you'll be living out your life in.
Read on to find out more about what to expect from our apartments.
Our senior living community has a total of five floor plans, all of which are accessible and focus on aging-in-place design. There are two living options available: assisted living and memory care.
Regardless of the type of care you need, you'll receive weekly housekeeping and linen services. That way, you can truly enjoy retirement without the worries of exhausting and tedious tasks.
Now, let's explore the layouts in more detail.
In assisted living, you have three options: Solito, Ventura, and Palisade.
Solito is the smallest floor plan; it spans between 360-531 square feet. It has a sleeping/living area and a bathroom, as well as a kitchenette. It's perfect for solo seniors who don't need much to feel comfortable.
Next is Ventura, which ranges from 545 to 646 square feet. This floor plan has one bedroom, a living area, one bathroom, and a kitchenette.
Last is the largest floor plan: Palisade. It's 870-933 square feet, and it has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living area, and a kitchenette. It's ideal for seniors who want to live with their partner or best friend.
In terms of memory care housing design, we give our residents two choices.
The first is Haven, which is a simple floor plan with just a sleeping area and a bathroom. It's 197-230 square feet.
The other is Serenity, which is slightly bigger at 382 square feet. There's a spacious sleeping/living area and one bathroom, as well as a kitchenette. Those with fewer cognitive impairments may fare better in this floor plan, as they can still enjoy light cooking if it's a hobby.
According to the American Pet Products Association (APPA), 94 million American households have at least one pet. You may live in one of these households, and you can't imagine a life without your furry companion. They've been through it all with you, and they're the one constant in your life.
If you choose The Palms at Bonaventure, you won't have to lose your best friend. We are a pet-friendly senior living community, so both you and Fido can pack up and move into the floor plan you like.
By allowing our seniors to continue living with their pets, we enable them to keep enjoying the health benefits that come with owning one. As a result, they'll have a happier and healthier future.
Cooking is a pastime that many people love. According to a 2023 Gallup survey, 58% of those interviewed said cooking brought them joy in the last week.
There's just something about picking out ingredients and then prepping them with care. Not to mention, when you make a fantastic creation, it's an amazing feeling to have guests sit down, eat, and rave about their meal.
It's obvious that cooking can bring boundless joy to everyone, especially seniors. This is why we provide kitchenettes in the majority of our floor plans.
At the very least, you'll get a microwave and a roomy refrigerator. Some residences also have a stove and oven for more complicated recipes.
Regardless, you'll have plenty of space to entertain if you wish to have guests over. You'll be able to have hours of good food and good company.
It's no fun to get ready for your day in a small and cramped bathroom. You want to look and feel your best, which is why it's important to have a bathroom you love being in.
In our senior living community, we've designed the residences to have large bathrooms with walk-in showers that aren't difficult to get into. And for your safety, there are various grab bars you can use to support yourself.
Should you ever fall, there are emergency pull cords available, too. With one pull, our staff will be notified, and you'll receive help promptly.
Whichever floor plan you choose, you can count on the apartment to have many cabinets. There are also big closets, which means that it'll be hard to run out of room for your belongings.
It'll also be pleasant to be in your apartment because it's a bright living space. The large windows with trimmings let in tons of natural light, which you can also filter out with he blinds.
In addition, the residences have climate control. This means that you can stay comfortable all year long.
